Or for students interested in getting involved themselves, PERD (the Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance department) is an excellent resource for available facilities, from the CASE gymnasium and Faneuil Pool to the Sailing Boathouse with its prime location on the Charles River. There are also a number of intramural sports, including the popular Broomball - which is like hockey only in sneakers and with a broom instead of a stick. Or for students wishing to invest less time, there are also many brief free workshops like aerobox and inline skating.
Of course, this is only a taste of what Boston University has to offer. With all of the resources available at the university, every student is likely to discover new and exciting things to do from the day they move in up until the day they graduate.
