BU Masters Degree Program in Global Manufacturing
 
Admission Requirements for US Students

Admission to the Global Manufacturing Masters Degree Program requires a strong background in engineering. An undergraduate degree in an engineering discipline is required. However, if the candidate's qualifications are strong enough, other related degrees may be considered.

Academic requirements:

  • Completion of all undergraduate courses
  • Master courses require a Bachelor

The application procedure will take almost approximately four months. All application documents have to be sent to Boston University and a copy will be sent to Fraunhofer CMI for review.

In all cases the Fraunhofer CMI will forward the application to Fraunhofer IPT or WZL for another review.

The application must be submitted complete with

  • Undergraduate/graduate transcripts
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • A resume if available
  • Completed Boston University Application Materials and sixty dollar ($70) application fee (non-refundable)
  • TOEFL scores if English is not the applicants native language
  • General Graduation Record Examination (GRE) scores or GMAT

The test score must be sent from the testing center directly to the College of Engineering and use the code 3150, no department number is necessary. If you have taken your GRE or GMAT's in the last 5 years, those scores will be accepted. The GMAT is offered the last 3 weeks of every month, Monday - Saturday, call 1-800-GMATNOW, for the location closest to you. In preparation for the GMAT test, visit their web site http://gmat.org/.

The Global Masters Program application deadline for the September term is January 15 and October 1 for the January term.

Early application is recommended due to rolling admissions and limited class size. The completed application and all credentials should be sent to:
